Şule Nişancıoğlu was born in Istanbul and worked as a town planner in London for 27 years before focusing on documentary filmmaking. Nişancıoğlu’s films explore the relationship between cities and people. Her second short film, “Stranger by the Sea”, won the award for Best Documentary at the Berlin Short Film Festival in 2020.
For Foça Film Days 2021, her film My Beautiful Turkish Baths is selected for screening.
