Independent filmmaker Cristian Vidal was born in Santiago, Chile in 1980 and is a graduate of the Chilean Film School. He has directed both short and feature-length documentaries as well as fiction films, and he has also produced two television series for Chilean television, one focused on Chilean cinema and the other on Chilean cinema. Villa Portales, which is his most recent documentary, has screened at festivals in Italy, Dubai, Iran and Chile. It is his second film documenting the work of Chilean artist JoJo Fuentes.
